Preliminary Task | Storyboard

As a group, we created this storyboard. It shows the build up to a short interrogation between a detective and a suspect. We chose to have this build up since it would build up tension in the scene.

It starts with a view of a 'hurred-up' window, which will make it look as if it is winter. The camera will pan down before it cutting to the next shot. In the next shot, it will show a figure walking through a door, with a coat and scarf on. As he walks through, he will take off the scarf. This use of mise-en-scène will help make it clear that it is, in fact, winter. There is then an over shoulder shot of the figure walking towards the door and reaching for the handle. Once he has grasps the handle, the camera will cut to the other side of the door, as it opens. Then it cuts to a low angle of the figures feet, the suspect in the background. However, the suspect will be out of focus. There is then a P.O.V shot of the figure sitting down in-front of the suspect. There is then an interrogation sequence between the suspect and the detective. The suspect remains quiet throughout, saying very little and looking more and more frightened. The detective will keep a straight, stern face throughout. He then snaps at the Suspect at the very end, where it then fades to black afterwards.
