This will help us with making our own film because it aids when coming up with a story line since when making this, we needed to come up with the story on the spot

The Right Location  - Choosing the correct location for filming is key. You want your film to be the best it can be, given you are making do with what you have to offer, which is significantly less than a mainstream film or even independant film. For example, if you wanted to film a scene in a restaurant, you would need to go to a restaurant and not try and make a restaurant out of someone's dining room. Also if you wanted a scene in a hotel room, it needs to be a real hotel room and not someone's bedroom. Of course, in Film, sometimes if you want to go to another country, that can easily be faked with props and someone who can speak that language (an example being Rush (2013), where they used a runway in Hampshire to recreate the majority of start-finish straights for a majority of tracks around the world), which would be perfectly acceptable to do in a student film also. Genre This Introductory scene suggests that this film is a Biography Action Drama. This is because of the slow initial build up and then after the flag drops, the edit is much faster. The music also builds the suspense alongside the slow paced edit. This use of suspense is similar to that of an Action film. What makes this an Action Drama  rather than just a standalone Action film is that it focuses on the emotional and relational development of realistic characters. In this case, Nikki Lauda and James Hunt, who are real people who were racing in the 1970's. The film being about real people and based on true events, their battle for the world championship in 1976, makes this a Biography film also. Narrative In this clip, the film's opening is set before the 1976 German Grand Prix, race 10 of 16. This is the race in which Lauda had his near fatal accident. This means the film doesn't follow a chronological order since, after this scene, the film starts in 1970.  C

There are several differences between a film trailer and a film opening. They both serve a different purpose also. First off, a film trailer serves the purpose of advertising a film, showing the films key scenes, but without giving away too much. It is supposed to 'hype up' the film and make people want to see it. It will also introduce the main characters, again, without giving away too much. Film companies sometimes release more than one film trailer. Often while the film is in early development, they may release what is known as a 'Teaser' trailer, which gives away very little and leaves the door wide open for suggestion on what the film could be about.  Take this for example. This is the teaser trailer for Cars 3, the 3rd installment from the major film company Disney, who released this video around 2 months ago (as of 24/1/17).
